Going Romance is a European conference series dedicated to the study of Romance languages from the perspective of contemporary linguistic theory. Over the past four decades, it has established itself as a leading forum for cutting-edge theoretical research on Romance languages.

The 40th edition of Going Romance will be hosted by the Institute for Language Sciences at Utrecht University (the Netherlands) from November 11–13, 2026. This anniversary edition marks a symbolic coming home, as the very first Going Romance conference was also held in Utrecht in 1986.
