Dans le cadre du séminaire Théories et Données Linguistiques, ayant pour thème spécial cette année “La Grammaticalisation”, nous avons le plaisir de vous inviter à notre première séance de ce semestre, le vendredi 10 octobre à 14h (voir ci-dessous pour les détails). Christian LEHMANN (U Erfurt) interviendra avec deux conférences, séparées par une petite pause, sur les thèmes résumés ci-dessous ; veuillez aussi noter les recommandations de lecture préparatoire. Theory of grammaticalization
Christian Lehmann
After a short review of a few prototypical cases of grammaticalization, the internal structure of the system of a language and its external relations to adjacent domains of cognition and communication will be sketched. In this system, grammaticalization will be assigned a place. Its principal properties, both constitutive and corollary, will be discussed and it will be delimited against similar kinds of linguistic variation. Finally, the raison d’être of grammaticalization in language can be explicated.
