The Journal of Open Humanities Data (https://openhumanitiesdata.metajnl.com/) is launching a new special collection entitled “Representing the Ancient World through Data”.
For this special collection we mainly invite submissions of short data papers describing different types of datasets/databases (textual and literary corpora, digital editions, historical gazetteers, epigraphic/archeological/papyrological collections, collections of historical artefacts and records) and computational tools focused on the study of the ancient world (both newly developed tools and new applications of pre-existing tools). We encourage submissions that promote a view of the ancient world expansive in its geographic, chronological, linguistic, and cultural reach.
Submission deadline: 1st September 2023
The full Call for Papers is available at https://openhumanitiesdata.metajnl.com/collections/representing-the-ancient-world
