The Department 13-II – Institut für Romanische Philologie – of LMU Munich invites suitable applications for the position of Academic Employee (with Civil Servant Status) in Romance Linguistics.

Contract type: permanent (Lehrkraft für besondere Aufgaben, if applicable Akademischer Rat (m/w/d) auf Lebenszeit)
Your tasks will include linguistic teaching and examination in the Bachelor’s, Master’s and teaching degree programmes of Romance Studies, as well as personal research activities and the participation in linguistic research projects in Romance Studies.
The teaching load is currently 13 hours per week.
Requirements for employment are a university degree (M.A. or equivalent) and a doctorate in the field of Romance linguistics, as well as very good knowledge of at least two Romance languages, especially Portuguese, Spanish and French. IT skills and familiarity with corpus linguistic and statistical methods are also desirable.
If the requirements as specified by the civil service law are met, you will be hired as a probationary civil servant (grade A13) with the aim of becoming a permanent civil servant. For a probationary civil servant, at least two years of academic or practical work in the relevant field must have been completed as your main occupation after obtaining your doctorate.
